Juniors is very bright, animated and full of colour. The children like the tutorials. They are very keen.
Juniors has been a wonderful addition to our school program. The students that I teach only stay at this facility for about two weeks. Juniors has been a great way to teach lessons with children from K-12th grades, all with different ability levels. Juniors has taken the old "one room schoolhouse" approach and launched it into the technology age. The staff at Juniors have been very supportive and helpful. They have even "tweaked" parts of the program to meet our specific needs. I don't know how I ever ran this program without this terrific teaching aide.
Fun learning that really works! I took up the offer of a 30-day free trial of some sections of Juniors. The children were so enthusiastic about the work and I was so pleased with the educational value that we subscribed to be full members of the site after 5 days. The class continue to gain from the programme. It engages their interest and gives just the right amount of new information and re-inforcement. The site is easy to use – my ICT skills are very basic. Material has obviously been carefully thought about, prepared and structured. The tutorials use graphics to engage attention; thereby ensuring the children are focussing on the lesson objectives.
I am delighted that we have subscribed to Juniors which is enjoyed by even reluctant learners. I find the activity sheets particularly useful in reinforcing the lessons contained in the interactive tutorials and other schemes of work. In fact, I have printed them all and filed them carefully. They fit in very well with the requirements of the National Curriculum and I look forward to seeing the range of Science activity sheets being further extended. Using Juniors has really supported the teaching of the National Numeracy and Literacy Strategies. The depth of coverage means we can find online lessons to meet almost any objective we are covering.
We are thoroughly enjoying it, it’s easy to use and makes the computers a lot easier to use in the classroom.
The kids love it!
The Digital Learning Resources Group, which purchases software and other digital learning content on behalf of schools in Somerset, believes that Juniors' new, motivational approach to encouraging children to learn will result in pupils across Somerset enjoying learning and approaching their schooling in a more positive way.
Juniors@school is an online package of Key Stage 2 Literacy and Numeracy tutorials that will help you integrate ICT into your teaching and provide you with excellent supporting classroom resources.
Juniors.net was evaluated by selected schools in the Summer of 2003 and was quickly approved for inclusion in Worcestershire's Online Management Service; Content Stream. Schools that have now subscribed to Juniors.net have found the material to be engaging and supportive. Children readily engage with the content, characters and activities which support the Key Stage two curriculum.
I enjoyed the bit where if you did not know what a word meant you could click on the word and it would tell you what it meant.
The thing I like the most was the background. They made it like a room to show us we can learn everywhere.
I liked the part when they had questions to fill in and you got the score and the certificate. |
